Christmas is such a magical season - those long dark winter months can be made warm and bright with the excitement that Christmas beholds.
Twinkling lights, festive door wreaths, home cooked food and laughter gives Christmas that special feeling. Our fondest memories as children and into adulthood are bound in Christmas memories .
This year we all want to make Christmas extra special and what better way to kick off festivities than with home Christmas decor and finding out how to decorate a tree professionally yourself with our top Christmas Tree decorating tips.
Tip 1 - Selecting and preparing your tree
First you need to of course choose your tree; whether you want a fake or real tree, you need to choose a tree to fit your home. Surprisingly this can be hugely deceiving when out in the open. Take out a tape measure and check the height of your room before you buy!
Once home keep the netting on your tree before you have your tree in position.
Always saw off a bit of the trunk, this is so that the tree can drink water from the tree base. Your tree is a living thing and will last far longer with a drop of water.
Make sure your tree is vertical from all angles! It is a great help if someone is able to step back and help you with this part!
