The Potting Shed bursts into April 2022 with new spring flower display
Meadow inspired Spring Display at The Potting Shed, Kent
As a specialist supplier to Elite Pubs, we were delighted to be asked back to The Potting Shed, located in the Kentish village of Langley.
Our brief was to come up with a new spring inspired floral concept to compliment this Scandinavian venue and inject the dining and customer spaces with the joys of spring.
Spring display ideas inspired by the Kentish flowering meadows
Our vision for this installation was derived from old English gardens and flowering meadows to enhance the atmosphere and create an immersive dining experience.
The floral story for this venue starts on arrival at the entrance, and follows a journey through the bar area, main dining space and private dining room, carefully selecting the most impactful areas to work in, creating the most memorable, nostalgic, playful meadow style installations.
Country Garden Spring concept brought to life
Our first installation at the entrance is a parallel style design, reaching up either side of the doorway in an asymmetrical organic style to create a lush country garden feel, naturally complimenting the exposed wood and corrugated tin features.
We’ve installed delicate meadow themed flowers, combined with a country garden twist using Buttercups and Cow-Parsley, tall Larkspur and Hollyhocks, with Sweet Peas, Poppies, and Cosmos.
For the main dining space, we styled the two most prominent beams and spread high into the apex, carefully selecting, and working in areas so that wherever guests are seated, they have a good view of the florals above.
Our floral choice included Hollyhocks, Sweet Peas, Buttercups, Hogweed and Stocks, teamed with delicate Clematis, Daisies, Garden Roses and Peonies. Not forgetting a gorgeous selection of textured foliage’s in mixed green shades, natural Willow, and playful meandering Vines.
Moving through into the bar area, we installed a mix of foliage plants, housed in textured planters, and hung in macrame plant hangers.
Above the walkway to the bar, we dressed the shelves with shallow planters filled with mixed trailing foliage plants – perfectly complementing the installation created at the cocktail bar.
